Earth Blanket™
EarthBlanket™ at Groundscapes Express, Inc.
EarthBlanket™ is a compost-based erosion control system developed by Groundscapes Express, Inc. to stabilize exposed soil and protect it from erosion caused by rainfall and stormwater runoff. It consists of a layer of organic mulch made from finished compost blended with partially decomposed wood fibers, typically using FiberRoot Mulch™ or PowerBoost Mulch™ materials. Applied directly to bare soil, usually with a blower truck, EarthBlanket™ absorbs rainfall impact, slows runoff, and helps prevent soil from washing away. The compost layer also supports beneficial microbial activity that can filter sediment and break down pollutants in stormwater. Because it is made from natural, biodegradable materials, EarthBlanket™ gradually decomposes into the soil, improving soil health and promoting vegetation growth without the need for removal.
